Amongst A Spiritual Drought
“How to survive in a land of spiritual drought?
To keep hold of a vision, while among those
with none. Trying to dig deeper while surrounded
by people who are afraid of depth.
Alone in your thoughts, your dreams and your
wishes. To stay standing, while everyone else
slumbers. Leaving your eye’s open, longing
to see truth. As others close theirs tightly, to
ease their conscious’s. Being willing to sacrifice
your flesh, only to watch people feed their’s.
Trusting the scriptures for the promises they hold,
obeying them even when it hurts.
Speaking when others don’t dare and keeping
silent when there’s cause to. Having understanding
while keeping company with the foolish.
Grasping wisdom, even though it is mocked
as folly. Not being satisfied with less then God
intended. No longer willing to be still, while
the Lord calls us to greater heights!”
“I stretch forth my hands unto thee:
my soul thirsteth after thee,
as a thirsty land.”
Ps 143:6
“They that sow in tears shall
reap in joy.”
“He that goeth forth and
weeping, bearing
precious seed, shall
doubtless come again with
rejoicing, bringing his sheaves
with him.”
Ps 126:5-6
